New York residents are invited to FREE LECTURE from Greater New York Independent Publishers Association November 15 with multi award winning designer Richard Mantel talking about cover design. A question and answer period will follow.

Richard Mantel’s covers are dynamic, colorful, eye catching and unforgettable. Richard, in his distinguished, award winning career has served as Art Director for Columbia Records, Atlantic Records and CTI Records. He was a member of Push Pin Studios for five years, Speical Sections Design Director for New York Magazine, and worked over 2 years with Milton Glaser, Inc. He has won awards from The New York Art Directors Club, The American Institute of Graphic Arts, the Type Directors Club, The Society of Illustrators, Communicationa Arts Magazine, Print Magazine, and Graphis Magazine. He also was honored with a Grammy for Best Record Jacket, a gold medal from The Society of Illustrators, and the list goes on.
